Chapter 487: A Devilish Visit
I could feel his breath on my neck, and the cold whisker sent quivers to my body. He gently pulled my hair behind to expose my skin more. I should have stopped him and pushed him away but I just remained paralyzed almost like I was succumbing to his will. Does my soul still glow for him? I now crave Dace’s blood but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s still my sire. He still had little control over me and I can’t seem to help it. It’s like struggling with a fishing line wrapped around your hand.
"He’s not here is he?" his gravel voice rumbled close to my ear and I shivered upon impact. "Strange" I could tell he was smiling right now without looking at his face. His amusement was just too gut-wrenching to swallow, it had a way of mocking any individual.
"His memories have returned by my guess, two personalities in a feat, so much struggle"
How does he know that?
Realization suddenly struck me as my eyes widened, could it be he had an insider here in Juneau, he would go through such risk? Why?
He leaned away, taking my chin and forcing my eyes to remain pinned on him. A wide grin on his lips, I could see that twisted look in his rubies again, it was still hard to comprehend and something told me I wouldn’t like the truth in them.
"Are you happy Emmaline?" he suddenly asked, changing the atmosphere of the situation. "This was your wish, right? To be reunited with your family, for them to remember you and to fill the emptiness in your heart"
"What do you want, Luther?" I whispered and I knew he heard me. I’m at my wit’s end here, I’m not sure I can take any more of this. I just wanted him to go away and leave me be.
"You keep asking me that question" he chuckled. "Are you that curious Emmaline? What else? I came for you"
"Your cold black heart doesn’t care about anything. The only reason you cared is because of the blood that runs through my veins. We’re prizes and now we’re gone you’re throwing a fit"
His lips twitched and I wondered if I angered him, he might have control over my body but there was no I would let him control what I said too. My mouth is the only thing I could use against right now.
