Almost like he wants to open me up and find all the answers and the more he does, the MORE he digs... the more hectic it will be for both of us. Dace is smart, he isn’t just called an Alpha for his brute strength, he knows how to analyze things, and that’s why no matter how the vampires hide from their sights he always levels them. If Dace digs more deeply I’m afraid the past will catch up.
But what was the point? He didn’t just forget me just like the rest, Grayson and I were literally and figuratively erased from their life, two missing parts that never existed in the first place. Courtesy of our father’s blessing to keep us safe, But right now I’m not even sure our father’s blessing will keep us safe, at least not from Dace.
If he keeps pushing the only way is to keep going back, a step forward from him will be a step backward from me. It’s for both our sake. I’m not the comfort Dace needs, I’m not sure he even needs it, and I’m not sure he even understands EMOTIONS anymore, at first I thought he was just hiding behind a mask to keep up his Alpha appearance but no... it’s not about that.
I don’t think Dace can understand emotions anymore, instead, I think he adapts for the missing piece, is this some kind of effect on his DNA? I’m not even sure this theory of mine is correct, I guess I will have to find out, seems like my little plan to understand Dace will happen after all.
