"I haven’t heard from Dace ever since that day," Emilia said after telling us everything that happened.
I couldn’t speak and I just sat frozen like time was done with me, the only thing I could hear was my fast-beating heart. At that moment I darted my eyes to Grayson, seated without uttering one word, his knees bouncing up and down, his fixated on his fingers tangled together, but I could feel it... he looked like he would snap any minute, in his eyes was something wild, the wide range of killing intent was hanging in the air.
He just heard the family that brought him up was wiped out, I can’t possibly imagine how he feels right now.
"It was all my dad, the vampire attack, all just some stupid scheme, I don’t get it," Emilia said sniffing, she looked distraught. "I would have come sooner but my dad pinned werelions on me, it took a while before I would wave them off"
"The Rogues" Grayson finally spoke in a tone I couldn’t recognize. "Where are they now?"
"I smell them, they are closing in, and I don’t know if Dace succeeded or not, I’m worried about"
Grayson suddenly rose to his feet. "Emma get mom and aunt, leave town"
"W-What?" I said dumbfounded as he walked and reached for under his bed and pulled out a back bag, I clearly knew what those were.
"What are you gonna do Grayson?" Emilia asked in a worried tone.
