Chapter 336: The Girl Who Cried Loud
I wanted to take Hayden back home, but she begged me not to... saying she didn’t want anyone to know she was here, so we booked a hotel. I don’t know many places here in Juneau but thanks to Google Maps we were able to find a decent hotel. Lodging in quickly and she set her things.
"Did you pack the whole house back here?" I mused, trying to create some humor after the emotional breakdown. She hadn’t exactly been smiling but finally, I caught one spreading her lips even though it was faint and it gave me relief.
"Will be staying for some time" she says sitting on the bed and taking off her shades, hoodie, and cap, her afro curly brown hair is sprout free and I gotta see her attractive aqua eyes too. "After all this was my hometown, wasn’t it? Juneau’’ she mouth the name with stress and I sighed walking to the bed and taking a seat beside her.
"I miss your mom, she really is one of my best secretaries knows how to get the work done, after she left there was this empty space and I realized I have grown attached, the motherly part of her rubbed off on me"
"Tell me about it" I rolled my eyes and we both giggled.
"How is she?"
"Fine, very fine, a nurse now but still doing some training in the hospital since it has been a long time since she practiced it, but with the few connections she secured the job"
"That’s great, you know there was one time I fainted after having some brownies and it was mixed you know, after a gig the rest of the singers and I wanted to get loose and you know the..." she motioned a seizure-like gesture.
"Oh my god"
"Yeah, and thankfully your mom saved my ass but after that came scolding"
"Oh"
