Chapter 314: A Message
"You good?" Grayson asked me for the 10th time ever since we started classes.
I just randomly mixed the chemicals and I wasn’t so sure I was listening to the instructions.
"Are you sure you know what you’re doing? No offense but don’t blow up this in our faces, it’s a total D minus or something if that happens, and not a good way to start this year"
I sighed, dropping the glass tube. "He’s not here, Grayson," I said looking towards the door with a slight hope he might come in.
"Hey, let me" he took the glass from me and started mixing. "I will do the mixing and you write down the samples okay?"
I nodded and all of a sudden it was deja vu again, last year Dace was my lab partner and it was also the first time we actually talked to each other, I could still picture him seating beside me as he gave me a random smile and asked me what my name was, how tense and I was and shy, shy to the point I couldn’t meet his eyes, they were just too beautiful and then when he was cautious of not touching me and how hurt I felt by that.
But now I understand why, his body was already physically attracted to me and yearned for any feel of it, and then the accidental touch at the lobby, the heat I felt, and the electricity.
I sighed heavily as I closed my eyes, relieving those moments before I flush them open. Grayson was right I had to stay focused or else we might get a D, I made a promise to myself, a promise that I would start focusing more on my school life for the sake of my future, I was so caught up last year with all the supernatural happenings around me that I give little thought to school and that will change.
"Alright everybody let’s round this up" our teacher announced and I quickly got to work supporting Grayson as much as I could.

"So do you guys have superpowers?" Henry asked with a goofy smile on his lips disturbing Grayson as he ate his lunch. He has been rambling all sorts of questions in the past minute.
