Chapter 298: The Truth From 17 Years Ago
The truth was measured and my lungs were hooked as well as my thoughts. The uneven feeling that depleted my very body couldn’t possibly wake me from this truth... the truth that was set before my eyes like a long-lost dream igniting before my eyes. What is real? What is the truth? If the truth were revealed like this then... would it ever be known?
It took Grayson’s desperate attempts to meet with his mother to bring us here to this reality that played before our eyes like a blow to our very faces, was it meant to ease us or cause more confusion? My mom gave birth to two babies today and yet I have remained her only child for 17 years... that was a fact I was still trying to wrap my head around. What could possibly be the cause?
The new attempts for more answers swirled through my brain and my very eyes and the same curiosity was driven to Grayson’s orbs too, he showed the same questions that were in desperate need of answers, but I was just as desperate as he was, I can’t deliver answer when I was just as stunned as he was.
We locked gazes unable to part our eyes as we relived the truth of sharing the same blood, all the equal traits we shared were getting their meaning, the strange attraction that had nothing to do with any romantic feelings, the strange understanding we had of each other, how well we know what our mind absorbs without asking, just a feel and we knew what, all questions were brought to this moment for the right answer.
No words could come from us, I wasn’t so sure I could utter a word right now, because I was still paralyzed within and outside, our hands just remained tightly locked solely because we can’t part them because of this dimension but I was beginning to think that wasn’t the case. We didn’t want to part our hands, the comfort it gave in this situation was at its best and undeniably melodic for both of us.
Because if we didn’t want to live through the shocking truth we would have parted our hands.
"She was blessed with two"
We heard a voice and we were forced to turn our gaze back to the glass. We stilled the moment she saw none other than the nurse, well one of them who attended to us and a strange figure, judging by it, was a man but from this angle, his back was facing us so we couldn’t get a good look at him, only his suit that came into the light.
"The first of the two born with two mixed bloodlines"
Even the nurse’s voice was different, she didn’t have her American accent any longer but spoke like she had a native tongue. Could it be that she actually wasn’t a real nurse?
"Grayson" I panicked. Grayson kept his eyes on the two, determined to find out what would happen next and perhaps have the answers we seek at why we were separated at birth.
