Chapter 282: Shared Dream {1}
I walked through the door into the coffee shop and the bell above made a sound the moment I stepped in. My eyes scanned the area, there were fewer people here and it gave the shop a peaceful vibe, my kinda vibe. I scanned through once again before I set my eyes on Grayson seated in a corner, his hands intertwined together on the table, with his eyes on them, like he was thinking.
Where he was seated was secluded, there were barely any eyes like he knew the perfect spot I like, or is it his taste too? To not be under the eyes of others and choose to be invisible to people.
He and I shared the same traits when it came to that, we’re both kinda people who want to be invisible and not create any sort of attention. Mine was my personality, his was because he was a Venator and also needed to keep a low profile. So apart but yet the same. Grayson and I.
The moment his eyes landed on me he rose to his feet, and I could help myself as I walked to him.
"Emma" he began and I punched his chest.
"Ow!" he exclaimed, I wasn’t sure he felt pain from it, he was only just surprised about my actions.
"What was that for?" he remarked looking around if there were eyes on us but I didn’t care about that at all.
"How could you just leave like that? Do you know how worried I was?" I said with angry eyes. And his orbs softened at my words and I saw regret.
"I’m sorry, I just..." he sighed heavily. "I didn’t know what to do aside from that"
I hugged him before he could say anymore, for I knew how he must have felt after hearing everything, being in a state of confusion. I was the same too when I found out about my bond with Dace, and immediately I had to choose which side I was on. Grayson was dealing with a lot but I understood his actions.
"I’m sorry about what Dace did, he’s only super protective of his sister, please understand"
