Chapter 280: A Dream With A Twist
The lights flicked before my eyes, the action went on and on and I did not once blink, almost like I was hypnotized by how the lights go off and on. Until I was finally able to catch myself and looked at it once again... The lights made those ticking sounds like it was about to go bad and the repeated action of on and off just went on.
And I was finally able to question myself. Why were the lights this way? I couldn’t find an answer to my question, for I was confused about seeing such lights right now. I flicked my eyes to the rest of the area and it looked like a lobby and slightly dark because of the on-and-off actions of the lights.
A lobby? How did I get here? In the silence, because it was super quiet without any sound in place, I could hear my breathing, it was slow and steady much to my surprise because I felt like panicking right now, but I remained composed, almost like I could feel that there was no danger here.
I gulped at my very thoughts as I kept my eyes on the strange lobby and then a strong urge to move found me and I did, taking small and cautious steps as my boots made a sound on the tiles, being the only noise. I kept moving my eyes back and forth around me as well as my sides, I was confused slightly scared but mostly curious about what was happening right now
My small steps turned into a walk and then I was trolling along the lobby. The lights kept flicking but my eyes were able to adjust. My orbs pictured the lobby to be empty and not a single thing or anyone in sight but the more I walked it was like the paused movie was on a playback right now and suddenly the once empty lobby turned into a busy area filled with patients and nurses going back and forth as well as doctors.
So this was a hospital? Okay, I understand that fact now but... I was supposed to be in the car with Vanessa on my way to the Covenstead, so how the heck did I end up here?
I saw someone approaching me, a nurse, so I thought I might ask her which hospital this is, I opened my mouth to speak and I stretched my hand to her as she came closer to me, But no words left me and not a single thought about what or how filled my head but the raging discovery that she just pass through me like I was a ghost.
A cold chill ran through my spine the moment it happened, I was still in awe as I turned to the nurse who walked through me like nothing happened. What just happened? Did she just walk through me? She did!
I brought my eyes to my palms as they trembled under my gaze, could this really be a dream? I’m dreaming again ain’t I, then...
I looked around me at a crowd of people that looked so real to be called a dream. If I’m dreaming then that means something bad was about to happen, it was just like that day when I dreamt of Jane, this must be something similar to it I was certain.
And moreover, this must be Jueanu hospital, I took another look and for some odd reason it didn’t feel familiar or similar to me, this isn’t Juneau hospital then where could it be? Or maybe this was an area I haven’t been to. The sensation I felt was strong, a feeling that told me this was not Juneau’s then where could this be?
