I splashed the running water on my face before exhaling sharply. I don’t think I can keep this up... it was weighing on me too much, constantly lying even though I’m good at it didn’t sit well with me. After Emilia told me about what was going on I have never been so scared and confused at the same time. I was scared for Dace’s life because he was looking into the Venatores and I’m also worried about Grayson getting exposed and getting hurt.
Fuck I’m worrying about him again and I can’t help it! Now it looks like Emilia has taken an interest in Grayson, she’s asking questions and I knew where this was going... Emilia was as nosy as ever and I need to find a way to draw her away... also I need to talk with Grayson.
"Deep breaths Emma, deep breaths, you got this" I chanted to myself putting my glasses back on and walking out of the restroom. I released a sharp exhale as I did, it was like I was back to my inner turmoil and the little time I had to myself was a sort of peace.
I spotted Grayson.
"Grayson!" I rushed to him and he stopped.
"We need to talk" I grabbed his arm before he could say anything leading him to an empty classroom.
"Dare I ask why?" he sounded irritated now.
"Your people" I faced him. "...they hunted down werelions, why?"
He narrowed his eyes. "Werelions... I remember telling you just about Manticores"
