Suddenly a profound robust growl that shook the entire hall came through, even the windows shook, I was afraid they would break just by the speeding vibration, it stopped like a turned-off switch and deadly silence filled us.
"That" she whispers and terror unlike anything I have ever seen filled her blue orbs. "It’s coming"
The moment she uttered those words with definite terror in her orbs, I think my heart rose to my throat, and I found it harder to breathe... that sound alone was enough evidence that whatever attacked her was something more terrifying. Like time was paused and all actions ceased, I think my brain shut down for a split second because all I could feel was chilling fear that my bones froze from it.
"Emma!" Dace’s voice echoed in my ears and I snapped my eyes to him. Like an explosion happened my ears were ringing and my vision was surreal, I just realized the girl was in my arms now and I held her tightly. "Leave... hide..." his voice was sharp, and it had a hint of fear, because of this creature? Or maybe for my safety... maybe the latter, something tells me he knew what was coming and maybe he couldn’t handle it.
"Dace" tears were already breaking free from my eyes, I don’t know why but they did, I had a strong feeling that I shouldn’t leave him.
"Please.." he begged me like he knew I wouldn’t move but I can’t... whatever was coming Dace knew the danger that followed, something even more dangerous than him, was that even possible?
Suddenly the sound of something approaching caught us off guard and we automatically turned to it, the moonlight slipped in and I was hoping to see something from the halls but just an empty path, but the growl made me think otherwise, I was looking at the wrong side!
Just against the wall was a creature I have never seen, it made dread, unlike anything I have ever felt creep through my body. The last time I felt such was when I set my eyes on that red-haired vampire and when his fang sank my skin, I was getting the exact same vibe. What is this?
