Coming to Juneau was something I did not expect, it was like getting an iron thrown at you... but this is the place, where it is strongest. It is like my parents said, this is the land that connects all, the beam, the very land we have sought. New town, new home, another drill for me but this time it might be different, very different. I came here to this town with a purpose, that is what drives me and nothing else, attend high school like any normal teen, I don’t need friends, it is no use, I don’t need talks, talks were annoying to me and talk welcome friend which is something I don’t need because when that happens they get to stick by your life like leeches, riding on my own solitude life is peace for me. It’s what’s best and it’s what I can afford, my goal is to be invisible... that is the only way it will work.

But her eyes kept following me everywhere, every single damn time, tailing me and seeking me out and I didn’t like it. Even now her eyes captured mine, the same forest green as mine, that shone on some unique color. Is she one of them? Maybe, because according to our research there are a hell of a lot of them here, like I said before this is the land that connects all, the people who live here have no idea.

This should go as quiet as possible not to draw attention, I hate it when someone paid me attention and I was already hating this girl that stood before me like she was trying to figure me out, she can’t if she thinks so, no one can and I prefer for it to stay that way, her mere presence was unnerving me, I have other things to worry about and not her poking eyes on my back like a hawk.

A man just died which could only mean this is the right place, I was among the first people who saw the body, I came early and found the body along with the other screaming students if there was enough time on my hand I would have investigated but the police were called quickly so I only got a glimpse of the man’s wrist bleeding with twin holes, only one smart enough would know what creature did that, but that was too odd because I only know that particular creature to drain blood entirely, vampires.

Just thinking about that name makes my insides sick to the bones, nasty things and vicious with nothing but blood on their head, they were leeches killing away everything in this world but that was not their doing... it was something else. The man’s body was pale too and he had black veins covered on his entire body, his eyes were open and bloody red, what is then? I have to figure it out, because I could feel it, something dark was covering Juneau and it has been much stronger since I came here. It senses me, good it should be afraid because when I find it I will...

Her melodious voice broke through my head making me stop the drawing I was working on, she’s still here? Why? Can’t she just leave? It was annoying as that voice of hers kept sinking deep into my head, it irritates me.
