Chapter 97: Shut In

I was trying to get some sleep here, but the unchanging theme I heard ringing against my ears was not helping. I groaned in frustration covering the blanket more against my form, exams were finally over and I could get all the sleep I wanted. I can just stay in my room until the next term if I like, so LET ME GET SOME SLEEP.
But that pesky sound was not helping and was that my phone? it’s gotta be because I turned off my alarm clock, I tapped on my bed with my eyes still crammed shut, I found the smooth texture of my phone and grabbed it, bringing it to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby"
I froze. "Mom?"
"Yes sweetie it’s me, why does your voice sound that way, are you still in bed? It’s 2 pm"
I groaned.
’"Honey, are you sick or something?"
"No, I’m not"
