Chapter 33: Invite Me In
"I wanna come in, Emma, will you let me?"
"Yes!" I spoke before I could stop myself. I shook my head, closing my eyes. "I-I mean, it’s late and I’m not sure my aunt would welcome you"
A smirk found his lips, it sent a chill down my spine. "Who said I would use the front door?"
I gulped.
"Do you trust me, Emma?"
I stilled, do I trust him? I bit my lip, Dace has always been nice to me since the beginning, he gave me an umbrella at our first meeting knowing fully well he would get wet, my partner in Chem, and nice enough to talk to me and treat me to lunch, even if we don’t say it, I knew we both knew we were attracted to each other, although sometimes I couldn’t understand Dace’s action, there was a red flag in my head but I didn’t want to acknowledge it, because I want to trust him, I DO trust him.
"Not fully a 100%"
He chuckled lightly and I felt butterflies in my stomach, I missed that sound. "I will take that, Is that enough for you to invite me in?" He waited patiently for my answer.
I must be losing my mind because as late as 10 pm a hot guy was at my window asking if he could come in through it and here I’m saying this.... I really must be crazy! Everything with Dace was out of control and a real feeling I was scared that it might disappear.
