Chapter 296: Dilbar’s plan in action
THIRD PERSON’S POV
"Are you okay?" Maverick asked Valencia when he saw sweat beads on her forehead.
The girl, frowning earlier because she felt a sudden jolt of heat and dizziness together, smiled at Maverick forcefully before nodding.
"I think the events got to me and nothing else. Then, I ate spicy food to satisfy my taste buds. It would be better to rest a little in the room. Is that okay with you?" Valencia asked.
Though she was feeling hot and dizzy, barely keeping her focus, she knew these were the symptoms of her going into the heat phase. Thus, there was nothing to worry about.
Maverick asked Shadow to drop her off at her room, and the man immediately followed the girl.
"Do you want me to guard the door for you, Luna?" Shadow asked as they turned around the corner.
Valencia smiled at the man before shaking her head.
"That won’t be needed, Shadow. I will lock the door from the inside. Besides, no one would dare to do anything with so many alphas and Luna downstairs. Your alpha needs your assistance," She reasoned.
"You can leave now. The room is right across us," Valencia said.
The man gave her one last helpless look, knowing she wouldn’t let him guard either way. Thus, he nodded and left.
