Chapter 291: Obsession
THIRD PERSON’S POV
Valencia looked around when she couldn’t find Alpha Maverick.
She was supposed to enter the royal ball with him just like all the other Lunas and Alphas who arrived with their partners.
However, it had been thirty minutes since she got ready, and the man was nowhere to be seen.
She had called him thrice already, but there was no response from the other side.
Since she was pretty late for the party, she was about to exit her room and go to the royal ball when the door was pulled from the other side.
Her gaze met Maverick’s hot ones, and she narrowed her brows.
"Where were you–" She started speaking but stopped when he pushed her inside and closed the door, placing his forehead on hers.
"Have I ever told you that you are the most beautiful woman I have seen?" Maverick said, bringing out some flowers from his behind that she had failed to notice earlier.
"What is this all about?" Valencia asked.
"I wondered how the council was sending you flowers for whatever purpose, but as your man, I haven’t given you any flowers," Maverick said.
