VALENCIA’S POV
All the council members appeared to be ashamed and embarrassed, and Maverick squeezed my hand to tell me not to talk about the things that hurt me.
I was fine. I honestly was. But just because they were some kind of authority, I wasn’t going to trample on my man in the name of some hypocritical, sick rules.
"You know what? You need to upgrade your system, but more than that, you need to clean up your hypocritical thoughts. Let me warn you," I paused and looked at them seriously.
"Apart from the council, my team will separately conduct research on this incident, and if I find out Alpha Tyler was involved, I am going to ruin him in the worst way possible. Please have a meeting and decide the punishment for that in advance," I said before looking at my man.
"Anyone who would try to punish my man here will face the wrath of the daughter of the former council head, and believe me; I was helpless earlier. This time, I won’t spare anyone. You guys really don’t know what kind of backup I have to boast about," I said before turning around with Maverick.
I took him straight to the infirmary, not once looking back or at him.
Pushing the doors open, I asked him to sit on the stool while looking for the medicine box.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" The doctor walked out from behind the curtains before looking at me.
He asked me if I needed to get my blood checked for obvious reasons, and I told him I needed him to treat Maverick.
The doctor got to work immediately, and I stepped out briefly and took a deep breath.
