Chapter 215: Her answer
THIRD PERSON’S POV
Maverick looked at the unconscious girl in his arms, his hands bleeding from all the fights.
When they heard the blast going off, they knew something was wrong along with that warning note. With Dylan’s help, they were able to locate Valencia, who was near the airport.
He was glad that, at least, things took a wrong turn when she was back in the city so he could reach her quickly.
Valencia probably used her quick-wittedness and jumped out of the car before it blasted.
Things were still unclear, but someone helped her when she was found near the secluded parts of the airport.
Maverick couldn’t control his wolf.
He knew the rogues were targeting him, and he was still dealing with them with patience, but now they were onto hurting his woman; how could he stand back and wait to hear their side of the story?
Dylan looked at his father and Carl with a wary expression as they all looked at the back of the walking alpha.
He didn’t know what to say. Sometimes, he saw the beast inside Maverick, the beast Aurelius, whom he named Reaper because he loved to reap souls out of people’s bodies.
But this was the second time he saw his beast side, which rarely came out within a month, and it said a lot about how serious he was about Valencia.
