Chapter 203: A lily and a note
VALENCIA’S POV
Some stories are so tragic.
But I can’t help but blame the girl even when she was the one who was killed.
Maybe in her moment of excitement, she forgot the basic rules of their pack. Still, after listening to the story, I wonder if this amazing love story and bond could’ve been secure and protected if the girl had crossed the boundaries completely.
It was the rule of the pack to stay in the area.
They have been living in those old-built houses for the same reason: They can’t leave the pack, and the forest spirits help them maintain everything.
If the girl had exited the boundaries completely, no one would’ve followed her and broken the laws for the second time to anger the forest spirits.
This way, she would’ve gotten to live, and conclusively, everything would’ve turned out to be great.
Then again, life doesn’t work as we think and want it to be. If I feel that way, maybe if I had known about my birth or had told the council about all the bullying, I wouldn’t have to go through all that shit either.
"Hello, Valencia, are you there?" Tory asked, and I hummed.
"What are you thinking?" He asked me, making me press my lips into a thin line.
