Chapter 169: Only to warn
ALPHA MAVERICK’S POV
Delighted. That wasn’t even a word to describe what I was feeling.
However, I was frustrated too because it took every ounce of patience inside me not to pull Valencia’s pants down and drink her heavenly juices that I was sure would’ve taken me ecstasy.
I looked at her peaceful sleeping face as she lay on the bed with her hands wrapped around mine.
I don’t know what’s been bothering her. It may be related to her identity or something else, but she looked pretty resolute when she said she wanted to leave. Now, apart from keeping a lookout for the rogues because of the alphas’ meeting, I will have to keep a lookout for her, too, so she doesn’t slip from under my clutches.
"Sleep tight, my love," I pecked her lips gently before rising from the bed.
Hearing another tapping sound on the door, I sighed.
My team was already here, and I needed to talk to them about what happened, or there was no way I would’ve left Mitsuki’s side alone.
Walking downstairs with large strides because I wanted to get this over with so I could return to my love and tease her more when she woke up, I opened the door and looked at Shadow, who was looking away.
"You better bring some good news because this wasn’t a good time to disturb me," I glared at the man who looked down at his feet.
"I know, sir," he said, confusing me.
