I was shaking. My body was still trembling a little from the aftermath of what I saw.

No. I wasn’t talking about the broken shards of glass or the fact that someone threatened me again. This is starting to become my new normal these days.

I was anxious because of the dream I had.

I wouldn’t call it a nightmare.

This wasn’t the first time I saw it either. However, it never held any meaning before today.

The feeling of loss has never been this prominent.

Could it be because now I knew I didn’t belong to the Hazel Moon pack, and the pack I saw practically burning was the one I belonged to?

Or could it be because I saw a couple handing over a baby to someone and telling them to protect this baby at all costs? And that couple almost died in front of me?

Rubbing my hands up and down my arms, I looked at the place where Maverick was standing, a strange paper in his hand.

"What is it?" I finally gathered the courage to ask, my heart starting to beat at a regular pace now.
