Anxious. That was exactly what I was feeling from the moment I found out Valencia was kidnapped.
My heart hadn’t stopped beating at the pace of a bullet train since then, the dread not leaving my chest as my brain was constantly thinking of how torturing it was for her.
What if they were being worse to her? What if they were hurting her?
I didn’t know Valencia was engraving herself with such effectiveness in my heart that the thought of her getting hurt was hurting me so much.
I already lost my family once to these rogues, the thought of losing someone else who I was getting close to was making me feel like the biggest failure.
What was the use of being the strongest and most dangerous alpha in the world when I wasn’t even able to protect the people I really cared about?
I promised her. I told her that I would protect her, and though it was a fake promise to her because I told her I would protect her from myself being the alpha, but in my heart, I had promised to protect her from all the negativity that would affect her happiness and smile.
That was the reason why I couldn’t control my anger when I saw Aiden hurting her.
And the thought of her getting tortured by those rogues was only filling me with self-hatred and guilt.
