Chapter 75: His cold behaviour
VALENCIA’S POV
Isn’t this a good morning? I asked Aurora, who rolled her eyes at me while I chuckled awkwardly.
Yes. I just had a failed attempt at lightening her mood. Why? Because I just exited the hospital.
The doctor said that I’d have to take care of myself and keep myself away from any strenuous activities. And since he couldn’t tell whether I had a wolf or not, he clearly said in exclaiming words that I should refrain from transforming into my wolf.
And guess what? Aurora has been peachy since then. Not changing into a wolf means no changing into a cat either.
’Come on. Look at the brighter side. We saved someone’s life,’ I pouted at her and she rolled her eyes.
’You could’ve done it in a much better way but no, you had to pretend to be a heroine. You could’ve easily dodged that hit if you were concentrating,’ Aurora blamed me dramatically.
It was funny how it was me who had to go through all the pain and everything and yet I was the one mollifying her into not getting angry and peachy.
"Valencia? What are you doing here? Coming out of the hospital?" I heard a familiar voice, and I turned to look at Angela.
"Me? I just came here for a regular checkup due to the fire accident? The doctor recommended that I come here again to ensure I don’t have any PTSD. What about you?" I asked her, casually dodging any suspicion.
Yes. I was becoming a pro at lying.
