Chapter 25 - 24. A Good Dog Knows To Wait



Sarah glanced at the darkness outside the window. "It’s not morning yet."

"Obviously," Yonghwa rolled his eyes. "You’ll be on the bed otherwise."

It probably didn’t mean anything, but Sarah was suddenly feeling bashful as she recalled the day she got blackout drunk and found herself waking up on the bed the next morning. Yeah...with the same man that probably, just like the last time, carried her in his arms.

Sarah cleared her throat and, feeling conscious of their proximity, shifted away from Hajin so she didn’t have to be supported.

"Tsk..." Hajin clicked his tongue, didn’t even bother to mask his disappointment.

Yonghwa waved his hand at his supposed employee. "Be a good boy and prepare something warm, J."

The grey eyes narrowed at the order, but Yonghwa tilted his head and spoke dryly. "I’m still your boss."

"Tsk."

Once again, the sound of a clicking tongue could be heard. But seeing Sarah wrapped her jacket closer made Hajin move anyway, making a warm milk tea in the hospital suite’s pantry.

"The twins will be back with some food," Yonghwa shifted his gaze to Sarah after chuckling at Hajin’s preferential treatment. "You haven’t eaten, have you?"

Like a signal, Sarah heard her stomach rumbling. She touched her abdomen, thinking back to her last meal--which was airplane food--and sighed. "Yeah..."
