Chapter 32: Class Division Exam [24]
The sky over the Southern Forest of Grisha was dull and grey. A few golden rays of sunlight peeked through the mist, falling softly on the ground where leaves crunched under the boots of nervous students.
All 197 first-year students stood near the dungeon entrance. The two missing students were not there. And neither was Dorian Valen, the one who had been suspended.
The dungeon’s entrance looked like the open mouth of a giant stone creature, quiet but frightening.
Most of the students wore the same basic training robes. Some were whispering to their friends, planning how they’d face the challenge. Others stood alone, pretending not to be scared.
Everyone knew this day could change their life at the academy.
This dungeon wasn’t a normal one. It didn’t have real monsters—it created fake ones using magic. That way, students could fight without dying or getting badly hurt.
Still, it was dangerous. Especially because the dungeon was in the Southern Forest of Grisha, a place filled with magical beasts and secrets.
The City Guards stood all around, watching. Their job was to keep the students safe from anything outside the dungeon.
But they didn’t know that something was already wrong.
Somewhere, inside the forest, was a person no one expected to return.
