Chapter 1: Denial Of Death
The cell was silent, save for the slow drip of water and the occasional skitter of rats.
I sat motionless, chained by the wrists, back slouched, eyes dim.
The grey colored surrounding I usually saw, wasn’t visible at all.
Maybe due to there being no light behind the prison bars I was in.
However, surprisingly, the things which must have seemed all too surreal didn’t feel strange at all.
I was standing on the edge of the rooftop of my apartment just a few moments ago.
The sudden influx of memories of someone else, or rather, the original owner of this body inflicted a little headache in me.
But that was all I could feel.
Even if this body was tattered beyond imagination, I couldn’t feel any pain.
Even though I was all alone in this widespread darkness, I couldn’t feel anything.
Then, I noticed a dancing flame closing in the distance with me.
