Chapter 29: Runes of Dominion
Logan read the letter a couple more times but it didn’t change its content.
"I had almost forgotten about the first letter I had received." A burst of corrosive darkness left his hand and disintegrated the letter.
"Let them come and I’ll make them regret ever being born." A deep and crooked smile twisted Logan’s face, his eyes taking on a faint, almost unnoticeable white glow.
He laid on his bed once again and drifted off to sleep with little to no worry whatsoever.

Above the ocean between the Dawn Kingdom and the Aereon Empire, an elderly man could be seen floating mid-air.
He had on a golden robe that fluttered steadily even though there was no wind.
He had yellow streaks on his grey hair and his long beard was neatly combed.
Opposite this man was Emperor Kai, they both stared at each other.
"Kai Blackwood... or should I now address you as Emperor Kai, what reason did you have to interrupt the investigation of the kingdom?" The man stroked his beard, his eyes uninterested.
"Now Rune Magus, that’s no way to talk to someone. Especially your former disciple." Emperor Kai teased the Rune Magus.
