The beast’s stripes took on a similar glow to before, It took a step forward before vanishing from Logan’s view and appearing a few meters in the air.
’The academy can’t pair a trying student with a beast of this caliber, something is wrong.’ Logan concluded as the black dots that filled his vision dissipated due to the surge of adrenaline that started to course through him.
The beast let out a mighty roar quickly followed by a dome of orange fire spreading out from its figure like an enlarging sun.
The dome spread through the room and consumed everything in its path and that included Logan who was still unable to move.
The fire burned away at every inch of his body, every strand of hair and every fibre of muscle,
Logan let out a scream of agony, he screamed, his voice cracking due to immense strain, but he never stopped screaming.
The blood droplets flew out of his mouth and quickly evaporated into nothing due to the immense heat.
The room burned, Logan burned, everything burned.
Logan’s voice slowly went silent as time passed, not because he no longer burned but the hilarity of the situation was getting to him.
’I came to be assessed to increase my magic so I won’t be killed by a random beast. Yet here I am, about to be killed by a random beast because I wanted to avoid it’ Logan chuckled before bursting into a loud laugh.
His laugh somehow echoed throughout the entire room, drowning out the wild roar of the fire.
