Chapter 26: The Reason
Bai Yanliang stared at Zhang Wen's face, trying to see what this woman was really thinking.
Zhang Wen saw Bai Yanliang's business-like attitude, which actually gave her a sense of assurance.
She just picked up the kettle, ready to pour Bai Yanliang a glass of water, but was stopped by his raised hand.
"No need for formalities, I have other work to attend to, and I won't stay long."
Zhang Wen paused, and under Bai Yanliang's gaze, she put down the kettle and sat at the edge of her bed with a strange expression.
Bai Yanliang was certain that this woman's secrets were far more numerous than he had imagined.
Zhang Wen seemed dazed for quite a while before she fixed her eyes on Bai Yanliang, sitting across from her, and smiled, "You must publish everything I tell you."
"That depends on whether your story is exciting enough." Bai Yanliang's emotion remained completely unmoved.
"Hehe... alright, I'll tell you."
Zhang Wen laughed oddly, looking at Bai Yanliang. The first sentence she said contained information unknown to him.
"I'm Zhang Qiao's sister." She didn't blink, "Her biological sister."
