Chapter 11: Investigation
A person's life is always filled with various foolish actions.
But... usually it doesn't include going to meet ghosts voluntarily.
If Bai Yanliang's actions were known to others in Fog Gathering, they would surely think he's a madman.
Everyone in Fog Gathering knows there are two types of ghosts: one type retains some consciousness and emotions, hoping for revenge, known as resentful ghosts.
Generally speaking, their targets for revenge aren't people from within Fog Gathering, but... the position of ghosts isn't that firm, and they have no qualms about killing humans when encountered.
Like unintentionally stepping on an ant while walking, it may not target anyone specific, but its horror is something humans can't withstand.
The other type has lost all consciousness, sunk into endless resentment and malice, known as fierce ghosts.
They have no weaknesses, no scruples, no leftover emotions, and their sole purpose is to wipe out everyone caught in this terrifying joke.
Therefore, no matter what type of ghost it is, humans would never choose to approach them voluntarily. After all, it's no different from placing one's head under a guillotine willingly.
Of course, Bai Yanliang didn't know that the ghosts in Fog Gathering had these two explanations.
But he had his own judgment, which was that the ghost under the bed wouldn't harm him.
