Chapter 94: The Call
The carriage continued its movement as they had almost reached the palace. Ariana wondered when Zavren would be coming—she had missed him. She just wanted to see his face now.
She looked through the carriage window and noticed the birds flying in the sky. The wind blew gently through the trees, making them sway in different directions. The sound echoed softly as Ariana turned to Leah, who had also turned, noticing Ariana had something to say. She watched as she signed.
"The children are well taught. I love that school."
Leah’s smile grew as she nodded.
"Oh yes, they do teach well and not to mention, the pay is very suitable," she said, and Ariana nodded with a smile.
Their happy faces were so cute—not to mention their expressions, so adorable.
A small, unknown smile curled up on Ariana’s lips as she stared through the window. Leah watched her, a soft smile growing on her own lips as she realized just how great this queen of hers would be when she became a mother to her child. She was already sure Ariana would do all she could to protect the baby, and her admiration grew even more.
"Anything scheduled for me today?" Ariana signed.
Leah shook her head before speaking.
"No, my Queen. I think maybe some rest will be needed for you. Once we arrive, we’ll be giving you a herbal tea approved by your physician."
Ariana nodded—and for some reason, she had a feeling that this tea was not going to be sweet. She just hoped it wasn’t bitter leaf water. She hated the bitterness of it.
