Apocalyptic Rebirth: With a repairman system space, she rises again.

Chapter 746: Quickest graduate in repairman history.

Sunshine yawned mockingly. "Sorry boy, but mama is going home today. I have no time to play." She waved her hands, created blocked of ice that sealed the closet creatures.

The robots descended to form a barricade around her. As she worked, she was tormented by the sound of desperate screeching. It was almost as if those creatures knew that she was leaving soon, and this was their chance to take a bite of her.

With bleeding knuckles and shaking nerves, Sunshine finally grabbed the swinging cable. She pulled it toward the port, locked it down, and soldered it into place. The sparks stopped immediately.

"Robots shield now, I am about to release that electricity they love because I need to test the bridge." Sunshine panted, dangling from her rope.

As soon as the shield was in place, she grabbed the two main rails of the bridge and closed her eyes. She reached deep inside herself and pulled out a massive surge of power. "Arrhhh!" she roared.

Her body glowed with blinding white light. She poured her own energy into the bridge, acting like a human spark plug. The current raced through the wires she had repaired, flowing perfectly from one end to the other. The bridge hummed with a deep, healthy vibration. The gold lights snapped on, brighter than they had been in years.

The shields of the bridge went up, along with what seemed like traffic lights. Windstorms were cut off, and it seemed like a normal road.

It was stable. It was fixed.

The Fanged Skulkers screamed, blinded by the lightning as they dove back into the mist. As they vanished, the shield connected to bridge spread out, trapping the creatures below. They could not fly out to reach the bridge anymore.

[Congratulations host. Sky Bridge repair is successful. Bridge integrity is 100%. You are officially the greatest risk-taking repairman that has ever lived.]

Sunshine laughed, a tired, raspy sound. "I’ll take that as a compliment."

[You should, this job has been passed around for over 20 years. No one dared to take it on until you. Now, the Etopian’s can use it without being afraid of falling or being grabbed by the monsters.]

Cheers erupted from the high-rise residential platforms, echoing through the air. There was a honk from the distance, and a whirring sound, as if a machine was being started.

Sunshine took a sweeping, theatrical bow, a tired but triumphant smile tugging at her lips. "Thank you, everyone," she called out, her voice carrying across the expanse. "I hope you enjoyed the show."

A chime sounded in her mind; it was payment for the job.

[Host, 1000,000 more than the initial payment has been added to your account.]

The System alerted her. "Well, that is only fair after everything that I have been through." Sunshine said. The Elitopian’s climbed to the second rank of her favorite aliens list. "Take me home system."

Thirty seconds later, she was home and walking like a zombie. She stumbled into her room, not even bothering to take off her boots or her burnt jacket. Sunshine collapsed onto her bed and was out cold before her head hit the pillow.

She was so deeply asleep that she didn’t hear the System’s final chime.

The Quinn household didn’t wake up to an alarm clock or the gentle chirping of mutated birds. They woke up to a scream that sounded like a tea kettle reaching its breaking point. Hades bolted upright, his hair a chaotic nest of shadows. His eyes were blown wide, and his hands were already bawled into fists, ready to punch a hole through a ghost, a burglar, or the laws of physics.

"Who is there?!" he roared, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "I’ll kill them first!"

He lunged toward the source of the noise, only to stop dead in his tracks. There was Sunshine, his wife, vibrating. She wasn’t just jumping; she was achieving genuine liftoff, her feet hitting the floor with a rhythmic *thump-thump-thump* "I DID IT! HADES, I DID IT!" she shrieked, clutching a glowing wrench like it was a holy relic.

The bedroom door flew open. The kids piled in like a localized riot. Ariel was in the lead, looking lethal and slightly sleep-deprived, his dragonoid pistol leveled at the ceiling.

"Where is it?" Ariel barked, his finger twitching on the trigger.

"Whoa, put the gun away, kid!" Hades gasped, clutching his chest. "Your mother’s just... happy."

White joined in on the celebration, despite not knowing what they were celebrating. Sunshine didn’t care about the weapons or the heart attacks. She hugged the bear, then lunged forward and swept the kids into a crushing group hug. "I made it! Master Level! I’m officially a Master repairman!"

She scooped up Castiel, spinning him around until he looked a little green. "Cass! Look at me! I’m a Master!"

Castiel blinked, dangling in the air. "That’s great, Mummy. Does this mean we get pancakes for breakfast? Like, the yummy ones? And black hole donuts. We haven’t’ eaten them in three months."

Ariel let out a long, theatrical sigh and lowered his pistol. "I almost shot you! Honestly, Mom, my heart rate is at two hundred."

"Oh, hush," Sunshine laughed, dropping Cass and turning to Hades.

Hades didn’t need any more explanation. The terrifying warrior-man let out a high-pitched "Whoop!" and hoisted Sunshine into the air, spinning her around. "That’s my girl! Master Level! We’re going to be grand masters soon!"

Earl, stood at the edge of the bed rubbing the sleep from his crusty eyes. He looked up at the chaotic, cheering pile of family members. "Does this mean you can fix the sky now?"

Sunshine landed back on her feet, breathless. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear and gave a sheepish grin. "Not quite, sweetie. But I’m close. Really close." She could finally taste hope. In the back of her mind, she thought, "Fuck you Cassius and your five years."
