Chapter 75: Evolution.
Sunshine opened her eyes slowly. The world had stopped spinning, which was the last thought she had before passed out. She was no longer laying on a hard surface but a soft one.
She realized that she was sleeping on a bed, in the bedroom she shared with Hades. Hades was also in bed; his arms were wrapped around her. His chest was pressed against her bare back.
They were in bed skin to skin!!
She shifted her legs and sighed when she realized that she was dressed below. Her eyes widened a little when she recalled the words of the system.
Awakening!!
Sunshine gasped. Had she truly awakened? In her past life, she had awakened the power of cryokinetics. Was it the same now? Back then, she had not known that was changing until she froze a mutated crow that was determined to have her for lunch.
She stretched her arm out toward a cup that was sitting on the table. It made crackling sounds like something breaking and turned into a frozen sculpture. When she folded her hand, it shattered, startling her so much that she twitched.
The twitching woke Hades who sat up immediately and reached for a gun. With a weapon in hand, he looked at Sunshine and then turned his head toward the window. The curtains were always open because they needed to see the sky at all times.
The sky was dark, it was hard to know if it had cleared up, but it was still raining.
He placed the gun on the side table and turned back to Sunshine, looking at her through worried eyes. Without hesitation, he reached down and touched her forehead. He pulled on her hands which were tightly gripping a bed sheet to cover her breasts which were hidden by only a bra.
