"Then why not just let us switch with someone else?" Sera retorted.
"Because nobody wants you as their roommate."
A long silence stretched out as Turelia's fingers rhythmically tapped against the desk, the tap tap tap echoing through the room like a ticking time bomb.
Verena's mind raced as she prayed for some miracle, something—anything—that would get her out of this mess. She couldn't be kicked out of the academy. Not because of this... chihuahua.
Finally, Turelia stood up, eyes narrowing in a way that sent chills down both their spines.
"I've decided."
Verena and Sera both braced themselves, hearts pounding in anticipation.
"THE TWO OF YOU SHALL CLEAN THE DORMITORY FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK AND GET ALONG!"
