She wanted to sleep. But after everything that had happened, her brain refused to shut up.
So instead of resting like a normal person, she grabbed a notebook and started jotting things down.
As a former human resource manager, she knew the importance of taking notes. Afterall, the human memory was trash, unreliable and prone to forgetting crucial details.
"Let's see..." she muttered, tapping her pen against her chin.
Verena, in the original novel, had barely been present, just a jealous fiancée who suddenly stopped caring about Raphael until the grand finale because she was a regressor.
She had already seen this play out multiple times and knew exactly what to do.
Every regression started at different moments, such as Raphael breaking off their engagement. But the details were vague. The rest of Verena's life was a mystery.
Then there was the real problem... the actual plot.
The first half of the novel was literally just nonstop sexual harassment.
The male lead was a pushy, entitled creep who forced himself on the heroine every chance he got.
