The man followed her to another room and saw the girl holding a snow-white Samoyed in her arms; his tall figure froze on the spot.
Jiang An carefully took the little one out of the cage; in fact, this puppy was one she had picked out at the pet store the day before yesterday, a spontaneous purchase triggered by the incident with the Labrador.
She originally wanted to present the little one to Gao Chuan yesterday as a surprise, but she hadn’t expected such an accident to happen.
Apparently being confined in the cage all night, the little Samoyed struggled in Jiang An’s arms with whimpering sounds, like a starving infant.
Jiang An looked at the snow-white little one in her arms with joyful eyes, and upon looking up to see the man already standing at the door of the room, she gently set the puppy down, picked up the leash tied around its neck, and ran over to hand it to the man.
Gao Chuan watched the fluffy little one rolling on the ground, his expression still cold and stern, his thin lips pressed into a line.
"This is my gift." Jiang An stood beside him with a sweet smile.
