Jiang An was only informed by the man at dinner time that they were flying to L City at three in the afternoon, leaving the girl grasping her spoon in utter shock.
Gao Chuan appeared calm as the sea, continuing to eat as he explained, "Think of it as going on our honeymoon. Don’t worry, Ms. Shen has arranged everything."
He didn’t know why, but the idea of taking Jiang An on a trip had suddenly surged in his heart. Considering the past few months since their marriage, they had either been running back and forth to Grandma Gao’s or were busy working all day, with hardly any real time to relax.
Gao Chuan, who typically isn’t good at planning trips, conveyed his intention to take Jiang An on a honeymoon to the Gao Family elders. The old couple happily agreed, especially Shen Mei, who managed to book the afternoon flight and hotel in one afternoon.
"But you’re still injured," Jiang An said with a hint of worry in her eyes as she heard the man finish talking about Shen Mei’s plans. After all, traveling back and forth with injuries was not ideal.
"It’s fine." The man uttered lightly with his thin lips, given that the two usually had little time together at the hospital and such opportunities might become even rarer in the future.
Besides, this was what he owed Jiang An, as Shen Mei would put it.
"Ah, it’s already eleven o’clock. I need to hurry and pack." Realizing time might be tight, Jiang An hastily took a few bites and then dashed into her bedroom.
Gao Chuan watched the girl’s hurried figure and smiled slightly.
