Chapter 121 Anan Really Cares for Him
Anan returned to the hospital only in the afternoon. Dr. Li had a surgery scheduled for the afternoon and she needed to be present as the assistant surgeon. The surgery lasted for over three hours, and only after everything was over did Anan step out of the operating room together with Dr. Li.
Walking side by side down the corridor, with Dr. Li in front, he briefly explained some post-operative data that Anan needed to pay extra attention to, which she listened to and silently took to heart.
Two young nurses passed by and greeted them, "Dr. Li, Dr. Jiang."
Dr. Li looked up at the two young nurses and suddenly stopped explaining to Anan, asking with concern, "How is Dr. Gao now? Has he left the operating room?"
Upon hearing the man in front mention Dr. Gao, Anan couldn’t help raising her head. She saw the young nurse showing a worried expression upon hearing the question, and answered anxiously, "It seems that the stitching is already done. Dr. Bai just went there."
Dr. Li’s furrowed brow did not ease upon hearing this, but he nodded to show he understood the situation.
Anan had originally thought they were discussing a surgery in the department and had not paid much attention. However, she overheard the two young nurses at the nurses’ station discussing what had happened in the department that morning as she was fetching a report. Their conversation mentioned Dr. Gao in bits and pieces.
"You have no idea, I was really scared to death. That man just took out a cleaver," a young nurse said with a still terrified expression as she recounted the morning’s incident.
