Did That Doctor Successfully Remarry Today?

Chapter 116 - 115 I Forgot My Dad’s Death Anniversary

After getting drunk, Jiang An cried and refused to go home. Wanwan supported the unsteady girl, listening to her softly murmuring in her embrace, "That place is not my home..."

From the groggy Jiang An, Wanwan heard her muttering another address. The woman steadied her into the back of the car, navigated to an old residential building.

The sky had completely darkened, several street lights beside the road were broken, dimly illuminating the path barely. Somewhere along the way, it had started snowing, the snowflakes danced outside the car window like willow catkins in spring.

Wanwan woke up the passed-out Jiang An to ask for the apartment number. Upon getting the number despite her hesitance, she supported her up the stairs, took out keys from Jiang An’s bag, and opened the door to be greeted by a cloud of dust.

Though neatly arranged, the room clearly hadn’t been lived in for quite some time. Wanwan felt for the switch on the wall, and the dim light suddenly lit up.

This must have been Jiang An’s former residence, the woman guessed.

She led Jiang An to a bedroom inside, and just as she was removing the drunken girl’s shoes, she received a call from the agent. She had temporarily left the film crew and needed to rush back for night scenes. She got up, covered Jiang An with a blanket, took one last look at the girl still looking sad in bed, and then turned to leave.

Wanwan got back into the car, found Gao Chuan’s number on her phone but hesitated when she suddenly recalled what Jiang An had drunkenly told her.

"Don’t want to go home."

"Dr. Gao hates it when I drink."

"He will hate me."
