With the initial snowfall, the whole earth donned a silvery white coat; snowflakes like goose feathers fell from beside the window, each ice crystal landing in the girl’s clear, sparkling eyes.
Today, almost everyone had moved out of the dormitory, even Xia Zi had relocated to a rental closer to the hospital for her internship. Jiang An was the last to pack up her bags, wrapping a thick scarf around herself before stepping out.
As expected, she secured a place in the City Hospital’s oncology department with her top grades in the professional courses. The internship would last for half a year, after which she could choose to stay on or look for another hospital. This also meant that for the next six months, she would be sharing a department with Dr. Gao.
When Jiang An left the dorm, a warm hue greeted her; the heavy snow had just cleared, and bright sunlight pierced through the layers of grey clouds, finally breaking through.
Dragging her heavy suitcase, Jiang An was about to hail a cab across from the school to go straight to Dr. Gao’s house when a black Mercedes stopped in front of her. The car window slowly lowered, and Wei Yan, sitting in the driver’s seat, took off his sunglasses as if recognizing the girl in front of him, "Anan, where are you heading? I’ll give you a lift."
