Time quickly moved into August, and Su Wanwan officially began her job.
Mr. Feng’s studio is right near the school, and it’s not far from where she lives, just over twenty minutes by subway.
Finally starting work made Su Wanwan quite happy.
Mr. Feng recently collaborated with a big brand and is preparing to launch a new series, and Su Wanwan happened to join in. She had worked on several projects with Mr. Feng before, so she was familiar with the process and got into it quickly.
Feng Xiyuan also praised her work: "Your arrival has made things much easier for me."
Su Wanwan smiled sheepishly, "I still have a lot of shortcomings. If there’s anything I don’t do right, Mr. Feng, please do criticize me. After all, I’m no longer your student; I’m your subordinate now."
Feng Xiyuan chuckled lightly, "Yes, you’re no longer my student."
"But in my heart, you’ll always be the teacher I respect the most," Su Wanwan quickly added.
"It’s okay if you don’t see me as a teacher," Feng Xiyuan smiled faintly, "Just hurry up and finish your work, I’ll take you out for dinner after we wrap up."
"Alright!" Su Wanwan responded cheerfully.
Currently, besides Mr. Feng, Xiyang Studio also includes two designers poached from big companies. However, those two are quite individualistic and generally don’t come to the studio. After half a month, Su Wanwan has barely seen them.
As for her work, she is currently serving as Mr. Feng’s assistant. Whenever he doesn’t have classes, Mr. Feng usually comes over from the school, and most of the time, the studio only houses the two of them.
This life is tranquil and fulfilling, and Su Wanwan is quite content.
If this could offset the emotional upheavals brought by Mu Yuze, she couldn’t ask for more.
After work, Mr. Feng kept his promise and took her to a fairly upscale restaurant nearby.
Su Wanwan was slightly taken aback. The reason was simple: she had been here before. When she was still with Mu Yuze, he had brought her here several times.
"What’s wrong?" Seeing her dazed expression, Feng Xiyuan asked.
"Ah... nothing," Su Wanwan covered it up with a smile, "Just remembered I’ve been here before."
"Oh? Who brought you here?" Feng Xiyuan was well aware of her financial situation; this restaurant wasn’t affordable for an average student.
"A friend."
"Boyfriend?" Feng Xiyuan looked at her with a hint of inquiry.
"Uh..." Su Wanwan hesitated, feeling a bit awkward, "A long time ago..."
That would be an ex-boyfriend.
Feng Xiyuan felt slightly relieved, "If you feel it’s inappropriate, we can go somewhere else."
"It’s fine, Mr. Feng," Su Wanwan gestured quickly, "The house specials here are really delicious! I love them!"
"Alright then, you choose the dishes today," Feng Xiyuan smiled slightly.
After entering the private room and when the server handed the menu over, Feng Xiyuan passed it to her.
Su Wanwan hesitated a bit but didn’t hold back and ordered her two favorite dishes.
Once the order was placed, Feng Xiyuan asked her, "How’s work been feeling lately?"
"Very good!" Su Wanwan nodded earnestly, "It’s quite different from school; I’m learning a lot and also feeling more accomplished."
"You’ve always been very diligent, I know that," Feng Xiyuan chuckled, "But don’t push yourself too hard, make sure to take care of your health."
"Mr. Feng, you’re my boss now; shouldn’t a boss wish for employees to give their all until the end?" Su Wanwan joked.
