Chapter 762: Seven Times in One Night
Mu Yiliang felt dizzy for a moment and couldn’t help but nod her head.
Yan Sijue smiled, lifted her chin, and gave her a lingering kiss.
Mu Yiliang felt even more dizzy after being kissed by him.
Her dazed and cute appearance made Yan Sijue’s heart burn with warmth. The hand on her waist unconsciously moved slowly downward.
Mu Yiliang finally came back to her senses, grabbed his mischievous hand, and glared at him, "Stop fooling around!"
"Yiliang..." His voice was slightly hoarse.
"I’m sleepy, I’m sleepy..." She feigned a yawn, rolled out of his arms, pretending to go to sleep.
The man chuckled, pulled her back with one arm: "Alright, you go on and sleep peacefully, I won’t bother you."
Only then did she close her eyes with reassurance, snuggling nicely within his embrace.
Yan Sijue watched her sleeping face absentmindedly.
"Goodnight." His voice was extremely gentle.
Mu Yiliang mumbled back to him, "Goodnight..."
...
The next day, after Mu Yiliang woke up, she turned over and felt an empty space beside her.
She sat up on the bed and it took her a while to recall that Yan Sijue had definitely slept beside her last night... Where was he?
In her pajamas, she got off the bed, walked out of the bedroom; the living room was empty, but there seemed to be some noise from the kitchen.
Mu Yiliang went to the kitchen and saw Yan Sijue in pajamas, holding a spatula, flipping a fried egg.
Hearing the commotion, he turned to flash her a smile: "Awake? Go brush your teeth and wash your face, breakfast is almost ready."
"Yan Sijue..." She finally couldn’t help but ask, "When did you learn to cook?"
He paused for a moment before smiling and saying, "Just last year."
When she left his life back then, he fell into immense pain and emptiness. To alleviate that pain, he did many things he wouldn’t have done in the past.
Learning to cook was just one of them.
Mu Yiliang watched his side profile, her heart was slightly touched. What exactly had he gone through this year?
He said he was sick, so he had to part ways with her, so he would work hard to get better, which is why he appeared in her life again.
What had he sacrificed for his treatment?
The deeper their relationship grew, the more she wanted to know what exactly had happened before, and how he had made it through this year.
Perhaps the answers weren’t so pleasant, perhaps she would also feel pain, but she believed that she would never be willing to leave him.
Thinking of this, Mu Yiliang walked over and, seeking solace, hugged his waist, resting her head on his shoulder.
Yan Sijue was momentarily stunned.
Her face still bore red sleep marks, like a child, and at this moment, snuggling obediently by his side made his heart melt completely.
He turned off the heat and softly said, "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing, I just want to hug you." She lifted her head to look at him, "Not only can you earn money, but you’re also devastatingly handsome, and you can cook... I really want to take a photo of you cooking and post it on Weibo, I’d definitely make everyone jealous to death."
He slightly raised an eyebrow, a glimmer seemed to pass through his eyes: "You forgot one thing, a very important one."
"What?" She frowned in thought.
"Seven times in one night." His tone was full of implication.
Mu Yiliang was momentarily stunned, then pushed him away with a flushed face: "Pervert!"
She stomped out of the kitchen, but couldn’t help turning back: "It wasn’t seven times; it was only five that night!"
"If you want, we can try again tonight..."
