Chapter 395: Bury You Up to Your Chest
This isn’t Yan Sijue’s territory. Even though he tried his best to enhance security measures, he still worried, so he could only stay by Mu Yiliang’s side as much as possible. Except for the first time she woke up when he took some time to rest, he hadn’t closed his eyes at all other times.
Thinking about all the things that still needed to be handled, the man knew he couldn’t exhaust his energy any further, but he was reluctant to leave. Finally, he remembered that the place Mu Yiliang was lying on was also a bed. After all, it was a VIP ward, and the bed was big enough, so lying together with her wouldn’t feel crowded.
Mu Yiliang was startled, feeling a pang of heartache as she looked at the dark circles under the man’s eyes.
She thought for a moment, adjusted her position, and wrapped him in her arms: "Be good, sleep. I’ll hold you."
Yan Sijue was not happy: "Do you think I’m a child?"
"It’s a privilege I’m giving you!" Mu Yiliang said with a playful smile, "Isn’t it nice to bury yourself in my chest?"
The man struggled for a moment, decisively hugged her waist, and buried his face in her chest. The familiar scent reassured him.
Anyway, she’s his woman. He can sleep however he wants!
Young Master Yan comforted himself with this thought, and in the next second, he drifted into slumber.
Mu Yiliang, however, still couldn’t fall asleep. She just quietly watched the man’s sleeping face. Her fingers gently caressed his face, from his thick black eyebrows to his dense lashes, and then to his prominent nose. She thought maybe she fell in love with this man when she first saw his sleeping expression. Clearly, he was such an aggressive and intimidating man, but when he was asleep, he looked so harmless.
Though he seemed unconcerned when she had the accident this time, his brows still didn’t completely relax even in sleep... Mu Yiliang bit her lip, trying to smooth them but failed.
She knew he hadn’t truly let go in his heart, but he never showed a hint of blame to avoid upsetting her.
So, she couldn’t let him worry, right?
Mu Yiliang lightly kissed his forehead and closed her eyes.
She had thought the man would sleep for a long time, but surprisingly, even before she could fall asleep, he was already awake.
"Did I wake you?" Mu Yiliang was startled.
He smiled and gave her a deep kiss: "No, I slept well."
"Just for an hour..." Mu Yiliang was a bit shocked.
"In your embrace, I sleep very soundly. An hour is enough." His gaze swept over her chest, carrying some deep meaning.
Mu Yiliang blushed, glared at him, but the man had already lifted the quilt and got out of bed.
His ability to recover was indeed astonishing. Just an hour’s sleep seemed to have completely wiped away his previous fatigue, and he looked radiant.
Soon, Xiao Qi pushed in a food cart, just taking out Mu Yiliang’s portion of food, but under Yan Sijue’s murderous gaze, she awkwardly put it down again, quickly left the ward, and left the space for the two of them.
Yan Sijue was very satisfied. He personally fed Mu Yiliang her meal and then finished the remaining food, leaving Mu Yiliang stunned.
It seemed like he hadn’t worried little these past few days...
"By the way, about that matter... What do you plan to do with the Puritan people?" she couldn’t help but ask.
The man elegantly wiped the corner of his mouth, his smile carrying a tinge of coldness: "Except for Su Yan, everyone else is either dead or injured. Su Yan is a very cunning woman; I added some manpower. I’ll find her sooner or later!"
Mu Yiliang hesitated slightly: "After you find her, what do you plan to do? Actually, I don’t think she intended to kill me."
