"Ugh!" A groan left my mouth as my shoes dragged across the concrete side walk.
The sun was glaring down on top of me to the point I started to wonder if I was in a sauna. The day's just seemed to be getting hotter and hotter as time passed, Of course I could only blame the fact that the city I've lived in for most of my life was known for its sunny weather.
"When's the last time it snowed?" I could only frown wondering when I would get to experience those chilly white day's again.
'I could have already been at home' What truly bothered me wasn't the weather I had grown slightly used to.
Instead it was the fact that I wasn't coming home from school at the regular time but an hour later. I had somehow been forced by my English teacher to join the book club, I didn't even like books yet because I had good grades in his class he suggested for me to come to the meetings.
'And why did she agree!' My mother had thought it was a great idea saying that I needed to be ready for when I started middle school.
So my least favorite day of the week was now thursday instead of Monday. I could only curse in my head as I made my way back home in the blazing heat, Thankfully I didn't live to far from school and eventually reached my neighborhood in no time.
