The next morning, after the two had gotten out of bed, they were originally planning to continue their morning exercise routine. However, before they even left the room, the cold air hit them in waves, making Su Yanyi frown.
"How about we skip the exercise today? I’ll go make you something tasty," Qin Jiran suggested with great thoughtfulness.
"What tasty thing?" Upon hearing about something delicious, Su Yanyi immediately gave up any thoughts of exercise.
"Baked potatoes on the stove. It’s not very elaborate, but it’s pretty fresh; I learned it from a local here," Qin Jiran explained as he headed towards the kitchen where he had prepared the potatoes. When he tried making it the other day, he thought of Yanyi’s gluttony. Although baked potatoes on the stove aren’t a delicacy, they were something Yanyi hadn’t tried before, and he wanted her to taste them.
In fact, when he first knew that Yanyi liked his cooking, he planned to learn more recipes to make new things for her to try.
"Make it quickly; I want to have a taste." Even though it didn’t seem special, one always wants to try something they’ve never had before.
Baking potatoes on a stove was actually incredibly simple: just throw them on and bake. Su Yanyi was already standing by the door of the kitchen at this point, watching Qin Jiran bustle about inside, which felt just like home.
Breakfast was ready soon after, with the baked potatoes smelling delicious. Yanyi ate two in a row, her eyes contentedly squinting.
