Chapter 271 Goodnight, Baby (5)
"Good morning," came a deep male voice from above, a voice that Su Yanyi was becoming increasingly familiar with. It reminded her of last night’s "goodnight," but she felt there was something different between the two greetings.
After thinking about it, Su Yanyi realized what was different. There was no endearment: where did "my baby" go?
She pouted to herself. Although she understood, she wouldn’t say it out loud. Such a cheesy nickname wasn’t her thing at all!
The two of them got up and went to train together in the morning. Su Yanyi’s skills were improving. After a few sparring rounds, Su Yanmo joined in, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the two of them fighting, eager to try for himself.
Su Yanmo didn’t waste words. Spotting an opening, he charged in with a fist, pushing Su Yanyi out of the fray and began sparring with Qin Jiran.
Su Yanyi wasn’t surprised and, with a cool face, moved aside to watch. Her older brother was always belligerent; having been pent up at home for so many days, it was time for him to stretch his muscles.
Once they started fighting, it was very clear that Qin Jiran was at a disadvantage. Su Yanmo was much more skilled than both Qin Jiran and Su Yanyi. His abilities had been honed in actual combat. Su Yanmo not only handled the Mercenary Company’s business but also often joined the mercenaries on missions, accumulating a wealth of experience. Jiran simply couldn’t compare.
However, Qin Jiran’s skills were not too weak either, as he had plenty of strength, and since they were merely sparring, they restrained from using excessively harsh moves. Still, he managed to hold his ground.
But when Su Yanyi saw Su Yanmo throw a punch toward the corner of Qin Jiran’s mouth, she couldn’t hold back anymore. She charged in with her fist and joined the fray, not only blocking Yanmo’s punch but also teaming up with Jiran to gang up on Yanmo.
Su Yanmo raised an eyebrow, a gesture seven parts similar to Yanyi’s, but he didn’t stop fighting. He bravely took on both of them without falling behind.
