"You’re back," Qin Jiran put down the documents and greeted Yanyi, but then noticed that Yanyi’s expression seemed a bit off. His heart sank as he swiftly asked, "What’s wrong?"
"Because of you, I got lectured," Su Yanyi replied in an even tone, revealing no happiness or anger, but the meaning behind her words startled Qin Jiran. How could it be that because of him, she got lectured?
"What did I do wrong?" Qin Jiran’s first reaction was to think he had done something to displease his mother-in-law.
"Humph!" If Qin Jiran had done something wrong, her mother would’ve lectured him, not her.
Qin Jiran tried to read something from Su Yanyi’s expression but ultimately failed, sensing that this matter was indeed related to him.
"Whatever it is I’ve done, tell me, and I will change," Qin Jiran got out of bed, walked over to Su Yanyi, and gently took one of her hands.
