Chapter 104: Gathering at the Birthday Banquet (2)
Old Master Qin was seriously ill, but fortunately, he was no longer in a coma. Aware that Old Master Su was holding a birthday banquet, he had all three of his sons attend, and Qin Jiran was the earliest to arrive among the three great families.
Qin Jiran immediately spotted the man dressed in a black suit with a stern expression on his face, his biological father Qin Zhenyi. Seeing him here was not a surprise, so he merely glanced at him briefly before looking away.
Su Yanyi’s gaze, however, was much sharper than Qin Jiran’s, as she scrutinized the Qin family group that came. She wondered what the Qin family was thinking, coming to pay their respects in such a group—nine people in total, three families of three, truly a full mobilization of their household.
"Should I go?" Big Brother Su volunteered proactively. He felt that his younger sister and brother-in-law would certainly not like to see these people, so it had to be him who went.
"Who sent out so many invitations to the Qin family? What a waste of food," commented Su Yanyi, neither confirming nor denying her thoughts. She definitely did not intend to entertain the Qin family, especially not this uninvited group.
"The invitations were sent by Mom. Since everyone was invited, it wouldn’t be good to leave anyone out," Su Yanmo explained as he advanced to greet them.
Su Yanyi looked in the direction of the Qin family members, her eyes suddenly brightening. Pulling Qin Jiran’s hand, she walked over towards them.
The members of the Qin family naturally noticed the reaction of the three people on the Su family’s side, particularly Qin Zhenyi, who stared straight at Qin Jiran, standing still without any intention of moving as if he was waiting for Qin Jiran to come over.
