Chapter 64: The Qin Family Calls
The topic of Qin Jiran’s background was spread far and wide, yet the result that the Wang Family desired backfired spectacularly, almost like losing a wife and an army along the way. The response was not public but came in the form of a private call from Old Master Qin’s assistant.
Old Master Qin, Qin Enci—that is, Qin Jiran’s biological grandfather—although seriously ill, still had a clear mind. Having confirmed Qin Jiran’s identity after hearing about the situation and following an investigation, he subsequently sought out Qin Jiran.
It was well-known that Qin Zhenyi had abandoned Qin Jiran at an orphanage, and naturally, Old Master Qin was aware but did not intervene. They say ’like father, like son’, and Qin Zhenyi’s obstinacy and pride were inherited from Old Master Qin.
