THE Knight's Hidden Princess

Chapter 160: Hope

There was an armory that was hidden in the mountain and for a mountain that was supposed to be about retreat and harmony there sure were a lot of weapons. I walked towards a sword and I pulled it up, testing the weight in my hands, something about it just doesn’t feel right. I don’t know if it was the fact that I was starting to feel really weird right now, like my body was starting to slow itself down or something...

I stared down at my protruding belly. Please, please, please, not now! Just let us get through this and mommy will be right where you want her, okay? I patted my stomach and I moved on to the next weapon, this one was another sword that contained a lot of dust more than the others. It also seemed to have been placed different from the others.

I picked it up and blew on the dust on it, coughing a little as I picked up the hem of my dress and wiped the dust off it. I also noticed that the color was a bit different from the others. It was a bronze sword that had green carvings around the hilt.

"This was believed to be Naktus sword you know." One of the woman said coming to stand right next to me, "And I know you don’t believe in all of this whole Naktus doing a divine intervention but I just thought you should know it suits you!" She explained when I looked up at her with a frown.

She was right, I do not believe in the whole intervention thing. But this sword, I could still carry the weight and even though it had been stuck here for gods knows how long but it still looked sharp. Enough to cut through any draumheimiers scum!

"Alright!" I said with a smile on my face, "So how are we looking?" I asked looking at her the rest of the other women who were busy gathering weapon.

"So we’ve got about a hundred women who can handle a sword fine on their own and fifty who can fair in a normal fight." She informed me.

One fifty women who can hold on their own in a fight just wasn’t good enough. The draumheimiers were ruthless and kill without mercy but I suppose if we can count on one thing it’s the fact the draumheimiers weren’t smart enough.

I grabbed the sword and turned to face the women, "Alright, listen to me_" I started and the murmured died down as everyone turned around to look at me, "Okay so I know a whole lot of you are scared right now. I get it, I am scared to. But we have to do this ourselves and even though you everyone thinks it’s a stupid plan, it’s up to us to defend ourselves and protect those who can’t!"

Some of the women remained hidden in the cave along with Maryanne. They were all terrified which was something that I understand and I couldn’t fault them for. I honestly do not know how we were going to hold our own in a fight against the draumheimiers but I meant what I said.

"Look there’s one thing we have that the draumheimiers don’t."
