THE Knight's Hidden Princess

Chapter 94: Saving Mr. Cold And Grumpy

The kashkil man looked up at the right moment just as the arrow flew in a precise flight that cut an accurate path through the sky. I watched as the man blocked the arrow with his sword, sending it crashing into the ground he then turned to stare directly at the bush where we were hidden. I wasted no time in nocking another arrow.

"Looks like we have company people!" The man said and all the men turned to look at us.

I fired another arrow from the shadows and this one struck one of the men in the front of his chest. The man who had an arrow in front of his chest emitted a roar as he charged forward towards the bush.

"Alright Heather, find a way to free the men. Eddie, you are with me, stay close!" I warned before I stepped forth out of the shadows.

I met the man head on, racing forward and before he could grab me I bent low and slid forward slicing at the tendon behind him causing him to stumble forward. I wasn’t done, I grabbed the dagger I had used and threw it at the leader but again he docked it which I was prepared for.

I stood up raced forward and leapt up in the air using my elbow to launch forward at the man. Before I could get a hit the man raced both his hands to block my attack. I tried to punch him again but he grabbed blocked my blows effortlessly before he delivered one to my face causing me to stagger backwards.

The pain made me disoriented, I shook my head a little to chase away the pain and when I looked up I saw the man advancing towards me with his wicked looking blade. Beside me, I could see Eddie holding off his own with a kashkil warrior. Somewhere along the line Reagan and his companion had gotten freed and had joined in on the fight.

The kahkil leader approached me and I wasted no time in unsheathing my own sword. I raised it up to defend myself just in time to parry his sweep down. A firm impact with his strike made my arms reverberate but I managed to stay put by gritting my teeth.

The man was fast, faster than I expected from a man of his size. He didn’t bother to play around, he went in aggressively, raining swift attacks with his dark blade that depicted malevolence and bloodlust.

He attacked without rest so I defended with blocking slants and reverting strikes as I could but his persistence did not stop.

A hard force from his kick jerked me into a backward fall. I forcefully hit the tree trunk as I slid back causing myself to lose all my breath. The Kashkil leader sneered as he brought his sword intending to kill me.

I knew I had seconds left to act so I clutched the ground under me, feigning struggle more than I already was. I relaxed my body, allowing mu eyes to flutter shut as if I was in a daze.
